I'm floating, flying through galaxies. Refreshing winds blow
about and support me. Everything is black--no, now there's a puff
of purple, a splash of magenta, and a dash of blue. I pick up
speed. Nothing is impossible as I soar through the stars and
let my imagination run wild.
I spin, dip, and lay on my back as I coast each current that comes
my way. It's all so amazing! I'm released into a state of
euphoria.
Now things are zooming in. I'm hitting the speed of light.
Streaks of magenta and white stream passed me, then blue,
into more sparkling black skies. Now I'm seeing a haze
of gold into more magenta. I slow down. I coast. I float. I'm still.
I pause in awe of the stars and planets as they orbit.
Here's a place where you will discover random happy thoughts in one form or another. :)

Grey Blue, Taupe, and Cherry Red
Hm, so what colors have I been craving this summer? Taupe, grey blue, and cherry red.
Taupe is very earthy, natural, and soothing. It's reminiscent of tree bark, driftwood, and
80's neutrals. It goes very well with my coloring, so that's a plus.
Grey blue is like a moody sea under an overcast sky. It's restless, yet it's relaxing as it ebbs
and splashes.
Cherry red is very, very cheerful. It's the perfect pop of color to go with the above neutrals.
What colors inspire you today?

Twilight Faerie Whimsy
Hues ranging from pink, blue, and lavender
creep up the serene sky as the earth succumbs
to twilight. Balmy breezes blow, and a
smattering of stars peek through the onset of
eventide. This is what dreams are made of.
Faeries lurk in their tiny homes waiting
for their rendezvous. Moonlight peers out from
above the sunset. Tall grasses wave
their greeting to the luminous orb as he smiles
down on them. Flowers lift up their essence as
a sweet offering of hospitality
to happy wanderers. Millions of fireflies dance
amidst all of it.
Trees reach up in inky black, lacey silhouettes
against the last hurrah of flaming pink sky.
The sun is going on holiday.
There they go! Did you see it? A turn of a
silvery faerie wing against an indigo sky,
tilted just so that the moonlight gilds it
ever-so-slightly. Soon you see another, and
another. They want to experience each blossom,
bud, and mysterious light sensation. They dance,
they fly. Each little faerie dressed to impress,
with the finest of silks, leaves, and tiny blooms
to adorn them. They are carefree, for where they
are is free from turbulence. ~*~

Happy Thoughts: Color, Coffee, and Continued Countdown :)
Today's colors? Cool and calming gray and bright ocean blue. The sky here in the midwest is
grey with a little blue, and it really makes the grass and the tall cornstalks really glow. Instead
of dwelling on what a downer an overcast day can be, I encourage you to look at how
all of the colors just really stand out against the gray. Look at the pinks, reds, oranges, greens,
and yellows. It's as though they've come alive!
The colors above are what I'm wearing right now. Gray on the bottom, bright ocean blue on top.
I've discovered another coffee "perk". :) Add chocolate milk to freshly brewed coffee for an
instant mocha! Yum.
One week and 6 days to Latvia! :D

Today's Colors: Robin's Egg Blue and Rust
Today I'm wearing my new thrift store find: an Aeropostale t-shirt in robin's egg
blue that reads 1987 boldly across the front. The numbers look distressed,
and are a shade of ivory. This was a good year for me. :) I happened to be born
that year.
Here's the color. You can find the source here.
Another color (as mentioned above) that goes really well with this is rust. This
happens to be the color of the skirt that I am wearing. Here's the source for
this swatch.
Now isn't that refreshing? It's like a warm day on the beach. :) What color(s) are
you in the mood for today? What happy thoughts do they evoke?

Artsy Tartsy :)
I was just musing on some more happy thoughts. What sounds cozy to me tonight?
~Art museums.
~A large cup of luminous tea with comrades.
~Taking a walk with friends along a cobbled street.
~Just being me.
~Drawing a detailed, down to earth portait of something
unexpected and fun, like a girl leaping with a bundle of
balloons, or someone peaking up over sipping coffee from
a large mug.
~Sunshine on red brick walls.

Coral, Dusty Rose, Sand, and Red Clay Colors
This weekend coral, dusty rose, sand, and red clay colors have been
among my happy thoughts. They are warm, sunny, and welcoming. It
makes me want to go out in the sunshine, kick off my shoes, and walk
barefoot along some sandy shore. I want to smile and walk briskly with
abandon.:)

Mauve, Teal, and Warm Gray
Last night and this morning I was watching Giada's cooking show that she had done up for Mother's Day.
She was all done up in shades of mauve, plum, and gray one moment; the next, teal and white. The
combination of that and the springy green landscape backdrop for a breezy Mother's Day picnic
warmed my spirit. How lovely!
As inspired as I feel, I felt it necessary to don some shades from my "Island Breeze" quad by Avon.
My fragrance of the moment? "Wild Honeysuckle" from Bath and Body Works. It's all flowers
and sunshine in a bottle. My sister gave me a miniature bottle of this some time ago. It just hits the
spot lately. The product description is this: Master perfumers have combined notes of jasmine, violet, fresh
honeydew and cassis for this alluring fine fragrance interpretation of wildflowers dancing in spring rain.
What warms your heart today?

Spring Scents and Colors
Spring is in the air! Ooooh, can't wait. Here are some fragrances and colors that put me in mind
of Spring:
I have the knock-off of this one:
I found this bottle on Amazon.com. The notes include: fresh rose, ginger, marigold, violet, oakmoss and
musk. Like I said, I have the imitation. It's a light floral that's perfect for a breezy spring evening.
I was sent a sample of the above perfume with a gift that I had ordered for a friend. You can find this
on Amazon.com or fragrancenet.com. It is a floral that starts out fresh and crisp, then mellows into
what I would describe as beautiful mystery. It's recommended for day wear, but I think it would be lovely
to wear out in the evening, as well.
For some reason this classic scent, introduced in 1974, is recommended for evening wear. I've generally
thought of it as a day scent, myself. Either way, I love this fragrance! It has powdery florals mixed with
woods and musk. It's very sweet, soft, fresh, and clean. You can also get this from the sources sited above.
Mine came from Wal-Mart.:)
This fragrance hails from Bath and Body Works. It's a romantic scent that includes garden lavender,
roses, violets, and musk. The picture above is the one that I own. This particular packaging has been
discontinued. The fragrance, however, continues to grace the shelves in an all new bottle and box.
Rare Pearls is an Avon fragrance. This Eau De Parfum sports elegance in its every note which includes:
rosewood, plum, honey, pepper, magnolia, musk, sandalwood, and patchouli. I have to say that the most
prominent note is magnolia.
What colors put me in mind of spring? Airy whites, lavenders, baby pinks, powder blues, mauve, aqua,
and dove gray. All I need now is a long, flowy taupe skirt, white chiffon blouse, and a long scarf for my
hair. Set me walking in a soft breeze and I've got it made!
